How do Syfe pricing tiers work?

How to Interpret Syfe’s Pricing Tiers

Syfe determines your pricing tier based on the higher of these two values:

  1. Net Worth (Total value of assets you hold with Syfe).
  2. Net Invested Amount (Fresh funds deposited minus amounts withdrawn).

Understanding Net Worth and Net Invested Amount

  • Net Worth: The total value of your assets held across Syfe’s Managed Portfolios, Cash Management, and Brokerage. This value fluctuates based on market performance.
  • Net Invested Amount:
    • Fresh funds deposited into Syfe minus any withdrawals across all Syfe offerings.
    • Internal transfers between portfolios (e.g., Managed Portfolios to Brokerage) do not affect this value, as the funds remain within Syfe.
    • Example:
      • Deposited: SGD 40,000 into a Managed Portfolio.
      • Withdrew: SGD 5,000.
      • Net Invested Amount = SGD 35,000.

Note: All values, including USD-denominated holdings in Brokerage, are converted into SGD equivalents to determine your pricing tier.

How are management fees calculated for portfolios?

  • Management fees are calculated daily based on your current pricing tier and the daily Net Asset Value (NAV) of your portfolios.
  • Fees are then deducted monthly from your portfolio’s cash balance.
  • You only pay fees for the days your funds are managed. For example:
    • If you invest for 6 months and 15 days, fees are calculated for the exact duration.

Example of Fee Calculation:

  • Invested Funds: SGD 40,000 in a Managed Portfolio.
  • Applicable Tier: Black (SGD 50,000+ pricing tier).
  • Daily NAV: SGD 40,000.
  • Management Fee Rate: 0.50% p.a.
    • Daily Fee = (0.50% ÷ 365) x 40,000 = SGD 0.55 per day.

Where can I see the fees I have paid?

  • For Managed Portfolios:
    • In the Syfe app: Go to your portfolio > Scroll to "Fees Paid".
    • If promo codes with fee waivers are applied, you will see a “Blended Rate” reflecting the new applied rate.
  • For Brokerage Trades:
    • Order Preview: Menu > Orders > Past > Select your order.
    • Trade Confirmations: Menu > Brokerage > Trade Confirmations.
