Are there any other fees apart from Syfe’s management fees?

Yes. While Syfe charges a simple and transparent management fee across its products, certain third-party charges and fund-level fees may still apply depending on your portfolio type. These fees are not charged by Syfe and are typically embedded within the underlying instruments you invest in.

ETF Management Fees (Core & Select Portfolios)

Underlying ETFs incur management fees that are charged by the ETF providers. For Core portfolios, these typically range from 0.15% to 0.25% p.a. For Select portfolios, fees vary based on the ETFs selected. These fees are built into the ETF’s price, not deducted directly from your Syfe account.

Currency Conversion Fees

A 0.09% – 0.12% fee applies when converting between SGD and USD. This occurs when USD is required to trade US securities in portfolios such as Core, Select, or Cash+ Flexi USD.

This fee is levied by Syfe’s broker.

SEC Fees (U.S. Sell Transactions)

For portfolios investing in US securities, the U.S. SEC charges a sell-side fee of 0.0008%. This applies to all portfolios except:

  • REIT+
  • Cash+ Flexi
  • Cash+ Guaranteed

SGX Clearing & Trading Access Fees (REIT+ Portfolios)

For REIT+ portfolios, SGX imposes:

  • Clearing Fee: 0.0325%
  • Trading Access Fee: 0.0075%

GST on Syfe Management Fees

Syfe is GST-registered and GST is applied to all Syfe management fees.

Income+ Fund-Level Fees

Income+ portfolios invest in constituent funds managed by PIMCO, which charge unified fund-level management fees. These fees are embedded within each fund’s price and are not charged directly by Syfe.

Net Fund-Level Fees (After Rebates)

Net Fund-Level Fees represent the weighted average cost of all underlying funds after any trailer fee rebates.

  • For institutional share classes: Gross and net fees are the same.
  • For retail/admin share classes: Syfe rebates 100% of trailer fees back to clients, lowering your net fund-level cost.

Trailer Fee Rebates (Income+ Portfolios)

Some fund managers pay trailer fees to platforms for fund distribution. When applicable:

  • Syfe does not retain trailer fees.
  • 100% of the rebate is returned to clients
