Syfe allows you to withdraw funds in SGD or USD, depending on your portfolio type and your selected bank account.
Withdrawal currencies based on portfolio type
- For USD-denominated portfolios (e.g. Core, Select, Downside Protected, Cash+ Flexi USD, Cash+ Guaranteed USD):
- You may choose to withdraw in either SGD or USD.
- Withdrawal in SGD: The proceeds will be converted from USD to SGD at the prevailing FX rate at the time of processing.
- For SGD-denominated portfolios (e.g. Income+, REIT+, Cash+ Flexi SGD, Cash+ Guaranteed SGD):
- Withdrawals can only be made in SGD.
Withdrawing to a Singapore or overseas bank account
- You may withdraw your funds to a local (Singapore) bank account or an overseas bank account.
- If withdrawing to an overseas bank account, our team may contact you to verify your bank details or request supporting documents before processing. Please check your email inbox for any email from Syfe with further instructions.
Charges and currency conversion considerations
Syfe does not charge any fees for withdrawals (in any currency). However, external bank charges may apply, depending on:
- Your selected withdrawal currency (e.g. USD withdrawal bank charges)
- The destination of your bank account (Singapore vs overseas)
- Your bank’s foreign exchange policies
Important notes
- For Singapore bank accounts, we recommend selecting SGD to avoid possible foreign exchange conversion fees from your bank.
- For USD withdrawals to Singapore bank accounts, intermediary and/or remitting banks may impose bank charges (estimated at least USD 50).
- For overseas bank accounts, additional intermediary or receiving bank fees and FX conversion charges may apply if the currency differs from your bank account’s base currency.
Do take note that these charges are determined entirely by the receiving or intermediary banks, and Syfe is unable to advise on the final amount prior to transfer.
