How can we help?

If I own fractional shares, will I be able to vote and participate in voluntary corporate actions?

If you hold fractional shares of a security as of the record date, you are eligible to vote your shares and participate in voluntary corporate actions such as tender offers or mergers, just like full-shareholders.

When voting with fractional shares, your vote including the fractional portion is added to the aggregate vote total for that security. The company’s tabulator determines how fractional votes are handled, some may round down or ignore fractional votes depending on internal policies.

You may receive an email from syfe@saytechnologies.com with instructions to vote or respond to voluntary corporate actions.

If a corporate action results in fractional shares or odd lots:

  • U.S. corporate actions: fractional shares are credited to your Brokerage account within 2–3 business days.
  • SGX corporate actions: resulting odd lots are credited within 2–3 business days.

Additionally, you have the right to attend shareholders’ meetings (e.g., AGM, EGM) for companies you invest in, and Syfe will notify you about these events via email.
