Can I open an account if I am not a Singaporean?

Yes, you can. Syfe serves clients from many countries around the world.

However, due to regulatory restrictions, Syfe’s services are not available to citizens or residents of certain jurisdictions, including the United States. You may contact our Syfe Client Success Team to confirm if your country of citizenship and residence is supported.

What documents do I need as a non-Singaporean / non-Singapore Permanent Resident?

You will be required to submit:

  1. A copy of your valid Passport / Employment Pass / S Pass / Work Permit, and
  2. Any ONE of the following documents (dated within the last 3 months):
    • Bank statement
    • Utility bill
    • Statement from a government authority

Do I need a Singapore SGD bank account?

No. If you do not have a local bank account, you may fund your Syfe account via wire/telegraphic transfer or remittance platforms such as Wise or Revolut.

If I am a US citizen or resident, can I invest with Syfe?

No. Due to regulatory restrictions, Syfe’s offerings are currently not available to US citizens or US residents. If your circumstances change and you become a US person, you will have to inform us. We may be required to close your Syfe account, but you will be given sufficient time to redeem your investments and withdraw your funds.

What happens if I do not submit all required documents?

Your account cannot be approved until all mandatory documents are provided. If you have transferred funds before your account is approved, your funds will not be invested until verification is complete.

Syfe will send reminder emails requesting the outstanding documents. To avoid delays, please submit all required documents as soon as possible.
