What does the portfolio risk score mean and how is it calculated?

Each Select Themes portfolio is assigned a risk score to help you determine if it aligns with your individual risk appetite.

This score reflects the weighted average risk levels of the ETFs within your portfolio. Every ETF in our investment universe is first rated on a scale of 1 to 5 based on its asset class, geography, and sector exposure:

  • 1 = Very Low Risk
  • 5 = Very High Risk

The portfolio’s overall risk rating is then calculated using the weighted average of these individual ETF scores.
