If you place more than 390 options orders in 1 trading day, your account will be temporarily restricted and you can only continue trading the next day.
This is based on a regulation by the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) that classifies high-volume options traders as "Professional" customers. Syfe currently only supports Non-Professional traders.
What counts towards the 390 limit?
All options orders you submit (including pending, executed, partially executed, cancelled, or rejected orders).
Only options orders count — trades in US securities, SG, HK, and UK exchanges are not included.
What happens if I exceed the limit?
- First violation: Options trading restricted for 1 day
- Five violations in a calendar month: Options trading restricted for 3 months
