Yes, depending on the date of investment the exact duration of your investment can differ in days. For example, if you started investing on 10th of November 2023 for a term of 3 months, your funds will be invested for 3 calendar months. 3 calendar months from 10th November 2023 ends on 10th February 2024 which is a non-business day. This would mean the portfolio will mature on the next business day which is 12th February 2023. Between 10th November 2023 and 12th February 2024, there are 95 days and hence your investment will earn returns for 95 days.
For another person whose investment started on 12th November 2023, the 3 calendar months end on 12th February 2024 which is a business day. Between these 2 days, there are only 92 days and hence the portfolio will earn returns corresponding to 92 days.

Firstly, Syfe invests your funds in fixed deposits with MAS-regulated banks giving you competitive guaranteed returns.
Funds received prior to 11 AM SGT on a business day will be invested on the same day. Funds received after 11 AM SGT will be invested on the subsequent business day. To illustrate, any funds received by Syfe between today at 11 AM SGT and tomorrow 11AM will be invested tomorrow afternoon, provided tomorrow is a business day. If you fund on a weekend or on a public holiday, funds will be invested on the next business day.Once the investment is successfully made, you will receive an email notification. Please note that this email is purely informational, requiring no further action on your part. You will start accumulating returns the following calendar day onwards, similar to how our partner banks accumulate returns on their end from the day after the funds are invested.
For example :
If you have received an email from Syfe stating that your investment started on January 1st, 2024, for a period of 3 months, the maturity date will be April 1st, 2024. The first day you earn returns from your investment is January 2nd, 2024. Your portfolio will earn daily returns from January 2nd, 2024, to April 1st, 2024 (both days included), corresponding to 91 calendar days.

Clients who created a portfolio before 16 November must lock in the rate for your guaranteed portfolio at your convenience after your funds are processed into your portfolio unless the guaranteed rate is being revised in which case you need to wait for the updated rates that will be available shortly.
Starting 16th November, based on client feedback, Syfe is making the user experience around Cash+ Guaranteed seamless by investing funds added into a Guaranteed portfolio automatically. This allows your funds to be invested and earning returns without any delay. You no longer need to lock the rate manually.
From the day you created the portfolio, by the time your funds are processed into your portfolio, if the rate remains the same or has increased, your funds will get invested automatically at the prevailing rate. This ensures you get the best rate at all times. If the rate had dropped by the time your funds are processed, your funds won't be automatically invested. You will be notified of the rate decrease and given the choice to lock in at the current rate, withdraw funds, or re-allocate to another portfolio.

Yes, you may transfer funds from any of your active Managed Portfolio /Brokerage account portfolios to Cash+ Guaranteed if the portfolio has no existing funds. However, clients are recommended to create a new Cash+ Guaranteed Portfolio before initiating an internal transfer from other portfolios. Cash+ Guaranteed has a auto-lock feature, which does not allow funding in trenches, and you may only do a lumpsum deposit once. Once funds are processed into the app, the portfolio will get automatically locked and prepared for investment to start soon.
If you wish to add additional funds after the first deposit, you can do so by creating and funding into a new Cash+ Guaranteed portfolio.

After the Guaranteed portfolio begins investing, you will not have the option to make withdrawals until the fixed term ends. As we invest your funds into fixed deposits with the preferred rates we obtain from banks for the term that you have chosen, we are enabled to maximize the returns on your investment.
Subsequent top-ups made on or after 16th November to a portfolio that is already locked and invested will be placed by us into a new Guaranteed portfolio and automatically invested. By doing so, you create a “ladder” of maturity dates for your multiple Guaranteed portfolios, giving you the flexibility to access funds and take advantage of fluctuating interest rates.
