How can we help?

How to Fund Your Portfolio Without a Singapore Bank

If you do not have a Singapore bank account, you can fund your Syfe account via Wire Transfer (Telegraphic Transfer) or using online remittance platforms such as Wise or Revolut.

To fund your account via Wire Transfer:

  • You must include your Portfolio ID in the reference or remarks field of the transfer to ensure timely processing.
  • For the latest Syfe bank account details (beneficiary bank, account number, SWIFT/BIC code), please refer directly to the “Add Funds > Other Methods > Wire Transfer” page within your Syfe app or dashboard.
  • Please ensure that your remitting bank sends an MT103 message to the beneficiary bank. This is required for us to accurately allocate the funds to your account.

Important notes:

  • If you wish to transfer directly in USD,
    • Do ensure to toggle to “USD”
    • The recipient bank account reflected should start with ‘896XXXXXXXXX’
    • Also, we generally recommend a minimum amount of USD 10,000 for USD transfers, refer here to learn more.
  • After completing the transfer, please email a copy of your transaction receipt to support.sg@syfe.com for verification and record-keeping.
    • The proof of transaction must clearly display:
      • Your bank name and logo
      • Your bank account number
      • The beneficiary bank account number
      • The transfer amount
      • The date of transfer

Should I use MEPS or Telegraphic Transfer for USD funding?

  • Please do not use MEPS (MAS Electronic Payment System) for USD transfers.
  • MEPS transactions will be automatically converted to SGD by the receiving bank, potentially incurring unnecessary currency conversion charges.
  • To transfer funds in USD, always select Telegraphic Transfer (TT) as the transfer method to avoid automatic currency conversion.

Alternatively, you may use online payment platforms such as Wise or Revolut, which may offer more competitive foreign exchange rates. Note: Similar to above, do email support.sg@syfe.com a copy of your transaction receipt.
