How long does it take for funds transferred to be invested?

When you fund your Syfe Managed Portfolio or Cash Management, your funds go through a few steps before they're invested: they're received and verified, reflected in your Current Value, and then invested according to your portfolio's settlement timeline.

You'll receive an email notification within one business day once your transfer has been confirmed. After confirmation, Syfe will proceed to invest your funds, based on the type of portfolio you're funding.

How will my funds appear under "Current Value"?

If your funds are already in your portfolio's currency, they're added to your portfolio straight away.

If your investment requires an FX conversion (for example, funding SGD into a USD-denominated portfolio), it will show as "transfer in progress" below your Current Value, and your funds will be added to your portfolio once the conversion completes — typically 1–2 business days.

Investment settlement timelines

Reflecting in your Current Value is not the same as being invested. Once your funds are received and successfully processed, the time to invest depends on your portfolio type, based on ordinary circumstances:

Portfolio Type Settlement Timeline
Core, REIT+, Specialised, Custom Investment trades typically start within 1–2 business days. Settlement completes within 2–3 business days.
Equity Alpha Invested within 2–3 business days.
Income+ Investment trades typically start within 1–2 business days. Settlement may take up to 4–5 business days due to a longer cycle of the underlying funds.
Cash+ Flexi (SGD), Cash+ Flexi (USD) Invested within 1–2 business days.
Cash+ Guaranteed Invested within the same business day if funds are received and processed before 11AM SGT.

 

Once settlement completes, your portfolio holdings and asset allocation will be updated on your dashboard. Until settlement is completed, your portfolio may temporarily display as "100% Cash.".

 

Important notes

  • The timelines above are based on when your funds are received and successfully processed. For funding in a currency that needs conversion, the conversion step happens before these settlement timelines begin.
  • Weekends and public holidays are not considered business days. A transfer made on a Friday or before a holiday may take slightly longer.
  • In rare cases (e.g. corporate actions, rights issues, portfolio rebalancing), investments may experience slight delays. Syfe will make every effort to process your funds promptly.
  • Syfe is unable to process your funds if your account onboarding has not yet been completed. If additional documents are required for account or funding verification, Syfe will reach out via email — please monitor your inbox and spam folder to avoid delays.
  • All investments are processed based on the designated dealing days of the underlying funds and the Net Asset Value (NAV) calculation schedule stated in the constituent fund's prospectus.
